The intersection of E. County Road 90 and N. County Road 1160 is closed because of flooding. It sits just south of Highway 80, about 2.5 miles east of downtown Midland.
According to Midland County, reports of stranded vehicles have been received in the area. Drivers are asked to avoid the intersection, use alternate routes and obey all road closure signs and barricades.
A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for the area, and more rain is expected throughout the day. Officials said flooded roads can remain dangerous even when rainfall is light. Drivers should use extra caution, watch for standing water on other roads and never try to drive through a flooded roadway.
