A woman died after a head-on crash in Carson County on Thursday, October 29, around 5 p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety said. The agency said a 2007 Kia Sportage driven by 64-year-old Suzen Dlee Watkins of Panhandle was traveling north on State Highway 207 when a 2019 Ford F-150 traveling south collided with it head-on.
Officials said the Kia had attempted to turn left onto County Road 6 when the crash happened. Watkins was taken to Northwest Texas Hospital, where she later died of her injuries, officials said.
The driver of the Ford had minor injuries and was released at the scene, officials said. The crash remains under investigation.
