A Randall County man will serve 10 years in prison after a judge revoked his probation, according to court records. Court documents say Austin Nicholas James Moomaw told another person in August 2024 that he would sell them explicit images of a young child.
Amarillo police arrested Moomaw, 26, in February 2025. He was booked into Randall County Jail on a charge of sexual performance by a child, a second-degree felony. Court records show that he later entered a plea deal, which placed him on 10 years of deferred adjudication and required a $2,000 fine. Records also show he was arrested in August after prosecutors filed a motion following a reported probation violation. The documents say the violations involved drinking alcohol and failing to complete sex offender registration requirements.
On Monday, 181st District Judge Tatiana Frausto revoked Moomaw's probation and sentenced him to 10 years in prison. He remains in Randall County Jail pending transfer to the state prison system.
