Ector County will begin the Tripp Avenue Phase II roadway reconstruction and widening project on Monday, Nov. 2, the county said. The county has hired Jones Brothers Construction for the work. The project continues road improvements north of the recently completed Tripp Avenue Phase III project near the local middle school.
The work includes site preparation, roadway reconstruction and widening, and clearing trees, brush and other vegetation within the public right of way near homes. Workers, heavy equipment and construction machinery may be in the neighborhood. A notice to residents says temporary detours, traffic pattern changes and intermittent delays will occur over the next several months.
The county asked residents to watch for construction signs and instructions from authorized personnel. Drivers are encouraged to use caution, reduce speed as appropriate and allow extra travel time. County officials said the county and its partners will work to minimize inconvenience.
