Southbound lanes of South Broadway Avenue in Tyler have reopened after a water main break Thursday afternoon, the Tyler Police Department said. Work crews said the northbound lanes remain closed.
The roads were closed near the intersection of Broadway and Rusk in the downtown Azalea District while crews repaired the break. Police suggested Donnybrook Avenue, Bois D'Arc Avenue or Vine Avenue as alternate routes.
Traffic was backed up on College Avenue as drivers avoided the closure.
