Friday, October 30, is the last day of in-person early voting in Texas for the November 3 general election. Texas Secretary of State Robert Howden announced more than 4.2 million early votes through October 24, about 22% of the state's roughly 19 million registered voters. His office said county reports can arrive late and that reported totals are unofficial.

In Dallas County, 557,990 early votes had been recorded as of an October 30 update, according to county data compiled by the independent election tracker DallasEarlyVote.com. That total included 538,719 in-person ballots cast at 84 voting centers and 19,271 mail ballots returned through October 29. In-person turnout reached 96% of the total recorded at the same point in the 2024 presidential election.

Republican Ken Paxton, Democrat James Talarico and Libertarian Ted Brown are running for the U.S. Senate seat held by John Cornyn, who lost the Republican nomination. A CNN/SSRS poll of 923 likely voters, conducted October 20–27, showed Talarico ahead of Paxton, 49% to 43%. A Texas Southern University survey of 2,000 likely voters, conducted October 21–25, showed Talarico at 49% and Paxton at 47%. Polling averages reflect voter preferences, not actual results.
