The South Plains Mall and Premiere Cinemas + IMAX have announced plans for Premiere PLUS, a 45,000 square-foot family entertainment center in Lubbock. The locally owned and operated expansion will connect directly to the existing 16-screen theater.
The planned features include 16 bowling lanes, multiple bumper-car arenas, more than 100 arcade games, a 7-D cinema experience, a large children's play area, party and event rooms, new cafes and a redemption center with prizes and rewards.
Gary Moore, CEO of Premiere Cinemas, called the project "an exciting investment in Lubbock and in the future of family entertainment in West Texas." He said the goal is a destination where families and friends can gather for movies, bowling, games, dining and events under one roof.
Premiere Cinemas first opened its Lubbock location in 2012 and later upgraded its auditoriums with luxury recliners and laser projection. Construction is underway, and the doors are projected to open in summer 2027.
