Voters in southern Denton County will cast ballots Tuesday, Nov. 3, in federal, state and county races and in local propositions. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Among the races is the U.S. Senate contest between Republican Ken Paxton and Democrat James Talarico. Voters will also choose candidates for the U.S. House, the Texas House, Denton County judge and Precinct 4 county commissioner, among other offices.
In Bartonville, Flower Mound and Justin, voters will consider whether to renew existing local sales taxes used for street maintenance and repairs. Double Oak voters will decide whether to legalize the sale of alcoholic beverages.
Registered voters must vote at their assigned polling site. Texas voters must show an acceptable photo ID, and seven forms are approved. State law bans electioneering within 100 feet of an outside entrance to a polling place.
