An off-duty U.S. Border Patrol agent faces a driving while intoxicated charge after a three-car crash in Laredo on Sunday, Nov. 1, authorities said. The crash happened just after 1 a.m. at the intersection of Jaime Zapata Memorial Highway and Boomtown Street.
Police said investigators determined that one of the drivers was impaired. Authorities arrested Johann Alexander Villarreal, 36, and charged him with driving while intoxicated.
Police later identified Villarreal as an off-duty Border Patrol agent.
