Police across Brazos County arrested roughly 70 people over the Halloween weekend, according to probable cause statements reviewed by KBTX. The reports cover arrests made from Friday, Oct. 30, through Sunday, Nov. 1.
KBTX reviewed more than 200 pages of statements from local police agencies and the Brazos County Sheriff's Office, including College Station police, Texas A&M University police and Bryan police. Public intoxication was the most common charge, with about 30 arrests. Officers wrote in many of those cases that the person was alone, stumbling or had no sober friend nearby to take them home.
About 10 people face assault or fighting charges. The reports describe fights inside Northgate bars and several family violence cases. More than a dozen arrests involved drugs, including THC vapes, marijuana, methamphetamine and cocaine.
