Vidor beat Livingston 56-17 on Friday in a district game at Lion Stadium, the last home game of the season for Livingston. Vidor ran for 439 yards and scored 14 points in each quarter, needing only one pass in the game.
Vidor took a 7-0 lead on a 95-yard kickoff return early in the game. Livingston tied it on a 22-yard touchdown run by Taylor Haynes, then took a 10-7 lead on a 45-yard field goal by Dorian Ortiz. Vidor regained the lead on a 22-yard run. Livingston defensive end Zayden Martin returned a fumbled snap for a touchdown to put the Lions ahead 17-14. Vidor scored on each possession after that.
Livingston was penalized 15 times for 144 yards, according to the report. Coach Tucker Carter said penalties made it hard to sustain drives. "It was tough, but they're a good group," Carter said.
Haynes led Livingston's rushing game with 93 yards on 11 carries. Quarterback Jax Ruiz ran for 56 yards.
