Authorities are investigating a reported threat involving students near a Sadberry Intermediate School bus stop in Bryan on Thursday morning. In an email to parents and staff sent around 10 a.m. Oct. 29, school officials said school resource officers were looking into an altercation near the apartments on Sandy Point. The school's email said an adult in a vehicle reportedly made threats toward students waiting for the bus, and students reported seeing a firearm.
Bryan Police Department Officer Seth Waller said the dispute began when juveniles attempted to fight. He said a parent of one juvenile then verbally threatened another child involved. Waller said a firearm was reported seen in a vehicle, but that report was never confirmed or substantiated.
Waller said the students will not be identified because they are juveniles. The incident remains under investigation by the Bryan Police Department and its School Resource Officer Unit.
