Texas A&M defeated No. 6 Tennessee 3-1 on Friday at Reed Arena, winning the sets 27-25, 33-31, 15-25 and 25-23. The Aggies had also beaten No. 4 Kentucky on Oct. 25.
Head coach Jamie Morrison said the team plays differently than it did two or three weeks ago. He said the team's fortitude at the end of sets has grown and that a healthy roster has allowed the team to practice fully.
Kyndal Stowers led A&M with 19 kills and 15 digs, her sixth straight double-double. Castle had 12 blocks, which ranked fourth in program history for a four-set match. Tennessee's Kennedi Rogers had 24 kills, part of the Volunteers' 60 total. A&M posted a season-high 16 blocks.
The Aggies next travel to Austin to face No. 14 Texas in the Lone Star Showdown.
