A&M Consolidated defeated Killeen 45-42 on Friday, Oct. 30, at Leo Buckley Stadium in Killeen. Quarterback Holt Goodwin dove into the end zone from a yard out with 3 seconds remaining to give the Tigers the lead.
Killeen had trailed by 10 points at halftime. The Kangaroos scored 21 unanswered points and held two double-digit leads in the second half. Killeen's fourth-down attempt near midfield with just over three minutes left was unsuccessful, and A&M Consolidated drove for the winning score after that.
Killeen is now 4-5 overall and 3-4 in District 12-5A-1.
