San Antonio has a range of Halloween events on Oct. 31, including a morning farmers market, Día de los Muertos festivities, family crafts, museum activities and evening trick-or-treat events, according to News 4 San Antonio's guide.
The Pearl Farmers Market in the Pearl District runs free from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is listed as rain or shine. The Calaveras de Azúcar Festival at Historic Market Square is also free and starts at 10 a.m. The festival organizer lists it ending at 8 p.m., while the City's listing says 9:30 p.m., so the guide advises checking before planning to stay late.
Other options include free Halloween crafts at McCreless Library from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and Zoo Boo at the San Antonio Zoo, open until 9 p.m., with free trick-or-treating from 4 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Southtown Halloween Artfest at Contemporary at Blue Star runs free from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The DoSeum's separate Trick-or-Treat event runs 5:30 to 8 p.m., with tickets at $20 for children and $15 for adults, and they must be bought in advance.
