Texas Gov. Greg Abbott went live on Fox News from Inez on Tuesday, Oct. 27. The event was held at The Bomb Diggity, a steakhouse and event venue in the community just across the Jackson County line. It was one of dozens of campaign stops Abbott has made across the state in recent weeks, ahead of the Nov. 3 general election.

State Rep. A.J. Louderback, R-Victoria, a former longtime Jackson County sheriff, introduced Abbott to a standing-room-only crowd. Roughly 300 supporters stood behind the governor as a backdrop for the television interview. According to the report, Abbott's answers covered job creation and economic growth, immigration policies and preserving small-town values, and he urged people to vote. A train passed on nearby tracks during the interview.

After the broadcast, Abbott spoke to the crowd about data center controls, investing in children and the future, and further lowering local property taxes. "Our values ... remain under constant attack," Abbott said. He then left for his next campaign stop. Louderback said Texas plays a major role in the nation's political process.
