A Victoria woman pleaded guilty to stealing money from the Edna Athletics Booster Club, according to the report. Lindsey Kay Floyd, 44, a former board member of the club, entered the plea agreement with prosecutors on Oct. 14. She pleaded guilty to a Class A misdemeanor instead of the state jail felony she was originally indicted for.
The indictment accused Floyd of unlawfully taking booster club funds between July 21, 2023, and April 7, 2025. Floyd was booked May 1 and released the same day on a $25,000 bond.
Floyd received a 12-month deferred probation sentence, with credit for two days spent in the county jail. She must also complete 25 hours of community service and follow a restitution plan of $11,800.06, the amount investigators say she took from the organization. The case would be cleared if she meets all conditions set by her probation department, the report said.
