Texas Tech was named the No. 15 team in the new College Football Playoff poll, released Tuesday evening. The Red Raiders are 7-1 overall and 4-1 in the Big 12.
The source reported that the CFP ranking now takes precedence over the AP Poll and the US LBM Poll, because playoff positioning is affected.
Texas Tech is scheduled to play the West Virginia Mountaineers at 8:30 p.m. Saturday in a game billed as a "Black Out."
