A cold front moved across the Brazos Valley through the first half of Tuesday, bringing mostly showers and a few thunderstorms to parts of the area. The region then turned sunny and mild in the afternoon.
Cooler, drier air is expected to move into the Brazos Valley behind the front. Lows Wednesday are forecast to start in the 50s, with afternoon highs in the mid-70s.
Winds are expected to shift back to the south and east later in the week, bringing Gulf moisture back into the region. A second cold front is expected to move through late Thursday and clear the coast by early Friday. It may bring a few isolated showers, though most areas are expected to stay dry. Highs are forecast to be in the upper 60s and low 70s through the weekend, with plenty of sunshine.
