Members of the Ganado Maidens softball team received their state championship rings at a presentation ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 22, at Maiden Field. Local residents attended the event, according to the Herald-Tribune.
The Maidens won state softball titles in the 2025 and 2026 seasons. Several players now have two state championship rings. The team hopes to win a third straight title when it returns to the field this spring.
The school has three Texas state championship titles in total. The Ganado Indians football team also won the 2024 Class 2A Division I state championship, beating Stamford 30-28 in triple overtime. The story said that game tied the record for the longest state championship game in UIL history.
The team also held a parade through city streets and a fireworks show over the ball fields to celebrate the rings.
