Terry Black's Barbecue will open its first San Antonio restaurant on Tuesday, Nov. 17, the chain said. The restaurant will be at 2102 Broadway near Pearl and will be the chain's eighth location. Terry Black's is an Austin-based chain established in 2014 by the children of its namesake Texas pitmaster.

Mike Black, co-founder of Black Family Hospitality, said in an emailed statement that the company looks forward to welcoming San Antonio locals and visitors. The restaurant will offer the full menu, including brisket, pork ribs, sides and banana pudding. Dine-in service, OpenTable reservations, catering and Uber Eats delivery will begin on Nov. 17, according to chain officials. Guests can also book an hour-long behind-the-scenes experience that includes a tour of the pits and a meeting with the pitmasters.

Black Family Hospitality is also developing a 40-room boutique hotel and a 9,800-square-foot bathhouse on the property. The hotel is planned for completion in 2028 and is expected to operate independently of the restaurant. The restaurant will be open 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
