Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office responded to Pleasure Lake Drive in Willis around 7:30 p.m. Friday for a reported assault involving a firearm. Two men were found shot and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Sgt. Christopher Evans of the sheriff's office's Major Crimes Unit said the men got into an altercation over a woman and shots were fired. Investigators said the woman's ex-boyfriend came to her home with a firearm and shot her current boyfriend. The woman then returned fire and shot the ex-boyfriend.
The victims' names have not been released. The sheriff's office said the case involving the woman's actions will be presented to a grand jury to determine whether an indictment is warranted.
