Texas A&M guard Rylan Griffen played Friday in the Aggies' 104-67 win over Northern Kentucky at Reed Arena. Head coach Bucky McMillan confirmed that Griffen had received a new temporary restraining order (TRO). McMillan said he could not discuss it further. Griffen scored eight points, with two rebounds and two assists, in 16 minutes.

Griffen is seeking a fifth season of eligibility under a new NCAA age-based model. Brazos County Judge John Brick dismissed his earlier preliminary injunction case, agreeing with the NCAA that Texas courts lacked jurisdiction over the league in that instance. Griffen's earlier TRO expired, and he was limited in his interactions with the program under NCAA rules. As of Friday night, it was unclear whether the new TRO was filed and granted in Texas or another state.

Jordan Pope led the Aggies with 18 points, and six Texas A&M players scored in double figures. The team shot 55% from the field.
