A person died after a standoff with law enforcement that lasted several hours Thursday night in Snyder, police said.

According to a statement from Snyder Police Chief Mike Counts, Snyder police officers and Scurry County sheriff's deputies went to a home in the 2200 block of 43rd Street around 9 p.m. to serve a felony arrest warrant.
