A man died early Monday after his vehicle crashed on I-10 East at Spur 330 in Baytown, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office. Deputy Trevino said a call about the crash came in around 12:34 a.m.
A witness told authorities the driver of a black Cadillac lost control and hit a wall. The vehicle then rolled over and stopped in another lane, and the driver was ejected onto the roadway. Deputy Trevino said the driver did not appear to be wearing a seatbelt.
Houston Fire Department EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene. A witness said the vehicle passed them at 80 mph or more, according to the report. The driver's identity has not been released.
