Gov. Greg Abbott stopped at Michael's Charcoal Grill in Midland on Sunday as part of his get-out-the-vote tour. He had planned to visit on Thursday, Oct. 29, but postponed the stop because of aircraft and travel issues, and said he would return.
During the visit, Abbott spoke about his opponent, Gina Hinojosa, and about the state's economy, education and data centers. He urged voters in the Permian Basin to vote on Tuesday, Nov. 3, to protect their future and their families' futures.
After his speech, Abbott took photos with attendees who pledged to vote if they had not already. His next and final stop before the election is Monday in Houston.
