Breckenridge Independent School District will accept student referrals for its Gifted & Talented (GT) program until Friday, Nov. 20.
The district said the GT program is for students who show intellectual and creative thinking abilities at an extraordinary level that is not normally served in the regular classroom. Referred students will complete a series of assessments to determine whether they should receive gifted and talented services.
Anyone who wants to refer a current BISD student can visit the student's campus office and ask for a referral form. People who cannot visit the school can call the campus and request that a form be sent to them.
