Four people died and at least 15 others were injured in shootings early Sunday in Dallas' Deep Ellum entertainment district, according to FOX 4, which cited Dallas police. The shootings happened as crowds gathered to celebrate Halloween.

Officers closed several blocks and called in police from across the city to manage three crime scenes and large crowds, CBS News Texas reported. One suspect was in custody, but CBS News Texas reported that it was unclear whether that person was connected to a particular shooting.

NBC 5, citing Dallas police, reported that the first shooting call came in about 12:19 a.m. in the 2600 block of Elm Street. A second call came in just after 1 a.m. from the 2600 block of Main Street. Another crime scene was on Crowdus Street between Commerce and Canton streets. Initial reports did not say whether every injured person had been shot or give a full breakdown of injuries by location.
