Annabelle Murra, a member of Huntsville's Scout Troop 1934, designed and created a carpet ball game for the Boys & Girls Club of Walker County-Trinity Site. The project was part of the requirements for her promotion to Eagle Scout.
Carpet ball is a tabletop game in which players roll balls down a long, carpeted table to knock their opponents' balls into a recessed pocket. Players can build hand-eye coordination, strategy, focus, patience, problem-solving, sportsmanship and social skills while they play.
Earning the rank of Eagle Scout is one of the highest achievements in Scouting. It reflects years of dedication, leadership, responsibility, perseverance and service to others. The game is meant to be enjoyed by club members for years to come.
