Nacogdoches beat Greenville 49-23 on Friday night in a district game, The Daily Sentinel reported. The two teams were playing for their first district win.
The game was tied 14-14 in the second quarter. Nacogdoches led 21-14 at halftime after running back Da'kiebren Williams scored, and the report said the Lions added more scores in the second half to pull away.
The Daily Sentinel said Greenville's first-quarter drive set up an early lead, and that Greenville had not won since October 2024, when it beat Corsicana.
