The Brown County Sheriff's Office is investigating a double homicide just outside the northern city limits of Brownwood, Sheriff Vance Hill said.

Hill said a 29-year-old man is in custody on a capital murder charge in connection with the deaths of his parents. Authorities are not releasing the names of those involved until family members are notified.

The investigation is ongoing. The Sheriff's Office said it will release more details as the case develops.
