The Jasper County Sheriff's Office said it responded at 1 p.m. Friday to a call about a disturbance inside a home on Feldshau Lane in Buna. A woman told deputies that her son, Justin Havard, 36, had thrown knives at her and that she called for help.

After investigating, deputies said they found probable cause to arrest Havard on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, family violence, which is a second-degree felony. The story also says Havard was previously sentenced to eight years in prison for the death of his girlfriend's child.
