Galveston police say they will crack down on illegal gambling machines
Galveston police plan to step up enforcement against illegal gambling machines after raids at bars.
The Galveston Police Department received a tip in June about what it suspected was illegal gambling. Detectives with the department's Vice and Narcotics Unit then opened a months-long investigation.
The investigation led to an operation on Thursday, Chief Doug Balli said. Police have said they will crack down on illegal gambling machines.
