Increasing tropical moisture will bring more showers to the Houston area, mainly Friday afternoon and evening. People with outdoor Halloween plans Friday evening should expect possible wet roads, puddles and on-and-off wet conditions. Temperatures are forecast to reach near 80 on Friday before dropping into the 60s later.
Showers are expected to increase Halloween morning and be most widespread Saturday afternoon. Most showers could end by Saturday evening, but forecasters said rain during trick-or-treat hours is a close call.
A cold front is expected to move through on Tuesday, Election Day, bringing a decent chance of showers and storms. Highs near 80 on Tuesday are expected to fall into the 50s behind the front. Forecasters said the timing is still uncertain.
