ETCOG has received a 2026 Aliceann Wohlbruck Impact Award from the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO). The award recognizes its ETCOG 101 Workshop series, titled Connecting Communities to Regional Solutions.
According to ETCOG, the workshops have improved understanding of its programs and services among elected officials, local governments, legislative staff, community partners, internal staff and the general public. The announcement said the sessions have also created a space for real-time problem-solving and collaboration. Since the series launched in January 2025, it has reached more than 250 participants.
NADO said this year's Impact Award cohort included 94 projects led by 58 organizations across 20 states. The awards were presented at NADO's 2026 Annual Training Conference in Reno, Nevada. NADO 2025-2026 President Matthew Dolge, executive director of the Piedmont Triad Regional Council in North Carolina, said the awards celebrate the work of regional development organizations to strengthen communities and improve quality of life.
