The Open Door Pregnancy & Family Resource Center held its 19th Annual Life Event on October 20, 2026, at Gregory Simmons Memorial Airport in Cisco. The event was themed "The Gift of Life — Because Every Birthday Matters."
The organization reported 1,433 clients served and 941 ultrasounds conducted from September 1, 2025, through August 31, 2026. It also said 290 women considered vulnerable to abortion chose life for their babies during that year. The Open Door offers 3D and 4D ultrasound technology, which it said can show an unborn baby's face and movements.
The organization said it is moving forward with a new mobile medical unit to replace its aging vehicle. The unit will also offer 3D and 4D ultrasounds. The ministry has centers in Cisco and Breckenridge and serves nine counties through its centers and mobile outreach. Its free services include pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, prenatal support, parenting and fatherhood classes, and mentoring.
