Rep. James Talarico, a Democrat running for U.S. Senate, will hold a campaign rally Tuesday in Lubbock. The Talarico campaign said the rally has moved to the Fiesta Center at 1902 E. Fourth Street. The event is scheduled to begin around 7 p.m.

Talarico is running against Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton. The rally is a stop on what the campaign calls its "Clear Eyes, Full Hearts Tour," which the announcement describes as a statewide effort to encourage voter turnout. The event is sponsored by Democrats for Texas, a registered student organization at Texas Tech University. Attendees were invited to bring an "I Voted" sticker and friends.

The campaign said the tour aims to "turn out the vote and bring working people together to take power back from billionaire mega-donors and corrupt politicians." KCBD said it will stream the rally live on its streaming app and at kcbd.com. The rally falls on the same day President Trump is scheduled to visit Lubbock to campaign for Paxton.
