The Amarillo Police Department has identified the suspect in a stabbing that left an Amarillo man dead, according to police.
Police said officers were called around 3:39 a.m. Friday to apartments at South Virginia Street and Maverick Street. They found a person with multiple stab wounds. The person was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. Family members told NewsChannel 10 the man was 29-year-old Jordan Branch.
Police said Makena Shilae Romero, 22, is in custody for murder.
