Michael Lee Green, 43, of Amarillo, will spend the rest of his life in prison. Judge Dee Johnson of the 47th District Court in Randall County revoked his probation and sentenced him to life on each of ten counts of possessing child pornography.
The case began in November 2024, when the Amarillo Police Department's Special Victims Unit received a tip from Oklahoma Predator Prevention, an advocacy group that targets online predators. Police said a forensic examination of Green's cell phone found illegal material involving minors. Green admitted during several interviews with investigators that he received and viewed the material. He was booked into Randall County Jail on ten counts involving more than 50 depictions or videos of minors.
In March 2025, Green was placed on deferred adjudication for 10 years. Court records show he was booked again in July on a felony charge of unauthorized absence from a community correction facility, after he did not report to a court-ordered supervision facility. As of publication, he had entered a plea in another open felony case.
