Visit McKinney is launching the 2026 Inflatable Turkey Map on Sunday. The digital map, available on the McKinney TX! app, lists yard displays registered by the community and serves as a citywide scavenger hunt. Last year, more than 400 inflatable turkeys were set up across front yards, rooftops and storefronts in the city, and tourism officials want to build on that.
Residents can add a display by submitting their address, naming their inflatable turkey and writing a short backstory. Past participants can use an online lookup tool on the Visit McKinney website to confirm or update their listing. "Re-registering helps keep the map up to date," Visit McKinney said in a news release.
New this year, a 25-foot inflatable turkey and a monument sign will be installed at Mitchell Park starting Monday, Nov. 2, as a photo landmark. Starting Tuesday, Nov. 3, registered participants living within McKinney city limits can pick up an "Inflatable Turkey Club" magnet at the Visit McKinney office at 200 W. Virginia St. Magnets are limited to one per household while supplies last. Visit McKinney said hours and pickup locations may vary during ongoing renovations at its visitor center.
