Fatal two-vehicle crash closes part of Socorro Road in El Paso County

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that happened Sunday in the 11900 block of Socorro Road.
According to San Elizario Fire Rescue, the crash led to a road closure that begins near the intersection of Thompson Road and Socorro Road. Officials said the area will stay closed for an extended period. They are asking drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
The investigation is ongoing. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
