Incumbent Greg Abbott and Democratic challenger Gina Hinojosa are making their final campaign appearances before Election Day. The story says Abbott is expected to stop in San Antonio on Sunday evening.

Hinojosa was in San Antonio on Sunday. She spoke at a Northside teachers union event and then knocked on doors to ask for votes. The story says her proposals include $1,500 payments to Texas households, a freeze on electricity rates and a suspension of the state gas tax.

Abbott said that if he is reelected, he will focus on property tax relief, public education and border security. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day.
