Incumbent State Rep. A.J. Louderback, R-Victoria, won reelection in Texas House District 30 with 72% of the vote, the Texas Secretary of State's Office confirmed Wednesday. He received 43,962 votes. Democrat Crystal Sedillo of Bay City received 17,380 votes, or 28%. According to the office, Louderback led throughout the polling. In early voting results, he had 29,910 votes to Sedillo's 13,014.

Louderback has served the district since 2025. He previously was Jackson County sheriff for five terms and is a U.S. Air Force veteran. The story says he has favored conservative GOP platforms, including border security. District 30 includes DeWitt, Goliad, Jackson, Lavaca, Matagorda and Victoria counties. In a social media post Wednesday morning, Louderback thanked supporters and said he looks forward to continuing to serve the district.

Sedillo, who was campaigning in her first state race, is a community advocate and communications specialist who has spoken out on education issues. On Thursday, she said she was proud of her campaign and thanked her supporters. She said the experience may lead her to consider future races, possibly for District 30 again in 2028. She said Louderback had respectfully met with her to discuss issues, and she hopes to continue that and push him on issues that matter most to common, working-class Texans.
