Gilmer running back Kipton Neighbors has been named the Built Ford Tough 4A Player of the Week, according to Dave Campbell's Texas Sports. The award is sponsored by Stanley Ford of Gilmer.

After Gilmer's starting running back was injured, Neighbors took on a larger role. He rushed for 242 yards and four touchdowns on 22 carries. Gilmer beat No. 1-ranked Carthage 49-42, ending the Bulldogs' 38-game winning streak.
