Casa Mañana Theatre raised $68,167 for North Texas Giving Day in 2026, up from $38,564 in 2025. Saving Hope Animal Rescue exceeded its $80,000 goal by more than $20,000. Jessica Walsh, Casa Mañana's vice president of development, said it was fun to see people come together to give to the arts. Saving Hope director Lauren Anton said the group did not take the generosity for granted.
A total of 731 other Tarrant County nonprofits took part in the campaign, which the Communities Foundation of Texas created. Tarrant County nonprofits raised $6.2 million, and the campaign was described as a record-breaking year. More than 100,000 North Texans gave over $80 million as of Sept. 30.
A Church Mutual Insurance Company study had forecast that 25% of donors would give less in 2026. The article says that forecast did not hold in North Texas. Tarrant County's total matched 2025, and the region as a whole saw donations rise by $2 million. Rebecca Babin, senior director of North Texas Giving Day, said, "Generosity is still alive and well here in Texas."
