More than 326,000 Denton County voters cast ballots before Election Day, which the report said nearly matches presidential-election levels of participation. The report said nearly 47% of the county's registered voters took part in early voting for the 2026 midterm. Early ballots rose about 46% compared with 2022, while voter registration grew about 15%.

David Rettig, victory chair of the Denton County Republican Party, said, "We are at record levels of turnout for the midterm." The report said the early vote reflects both population growth and a shift in when residents vote. It also said both major parties have encouraged supporters to vote early. Approximately half of those who voted on Election Day in 2022 have already voted this year.

The report said the turnout comes as Republican Ken Paxton and Democrat James Talarico compete for a U.S. Senate seat. A new Quantus poll reported 48.7% support for Paxton and 47.6% for Talarico, with 2.2% undecided. Early voting ended Friday. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
