Carter BloodCare said it is giving donors a plush blanket while supplies last. The organization described the 2026 blanket as light blue and white and said its blanket incentive has become a popular holiday tradition.

According to Carter BloodCare, donors must be at least 16 to give blood, with parental consent, or 17 or older to donate on their own. Donors must weigh at least 110 pounds and feel well on the day of donation. The organization said donations help Texans with life-threatening injuries, children with cancer, burn patients, older adults with health issues, organ transplant recipients and new mothers.
