The Lewisville Education Foundation (LEF) announced Thursday a new Teacher Certification Reimbursement Fund. The fund is meant to help Lewisville ISD educators who want to earn a certification or add to their current ones. LEF said the district has nearly 4,000 credentialed educators.
LEF said certification exam fees range from $116 to $178 per exam. Some certifications added to an existing Texas teaching certificate also carry a $78 application fee. According to the foundation, the total can run from $200 to $700, depending on the certification.
At first, the money will come from LEF's "Fund a Dream" campaign, which launched in 2026. The program will be run in partnership with the district's Human Resources department.
