KPRC Click2Houston spoke with voters in downtown Houston on Wednesday. They described concerns about affordability, the war in Iran, immigration enforcement and the direction of government. Most people who spoke welcomed the results.
Lawanda Carraway said everyday prices felt too high. She pointed to affordability and immigration as reasons for her vote and said she wanted people treated humanely. Haji Thebo said he opposed the war in Iran and was concerned about immigration enforcement. He said encouragement from his girlfriend and co-workers led him to vote after years away from the polls.
The interviews were conducted in Harris County, which leans Democratic. The station said they offer a limited view of voters' opinions.
