According to Amarillo police documents, officers responded to a reported robbery on October 12. The victim told officers he had arranged through Snapchat to buy two cell phones for $400 and met the other man to make the purchase.
The victim said the man went to his car at the meeting place, took out a serrated kitchen knife and threatened to kill him unless he handed over the $400. Officers identified the suspect as Isaiah Guillermo Cabello, 24, using his Snapchat profile.
Officers called Cabello, who agreed to come to the police station, police said. He was arrested the next day and booked into the Potter County Detention Center on a charge of aggravated robbery. A magistrate judge denied bond. A Potter County grand jury indicted him on the charge last week. Under Texas law, aggravated robbery is a first-degree felony with a punishment range of five to 99 years in prison. Cabello is being held without bond and on a parole hold.
